Each week we are visited by Joe Whitfield from the Checkpoint Christian Youth Trust. He runs our Spotlight Club and joins us regularly for collective worship.

Spotlight Club takes place after school every Thursday from 3.30 to 5.00pm. The club is open to all St. Michael’s pupils from Reception to Year 6. Children need to be booked in using the form sent out at the beginning of each school year. A copy can be obtained from the school office. This club is free to children at this school.

During the club, the children play games, have a go at a simple craft activity and have a snack. They will also have some input and teaching from a Christian perspective as part of the sessions.

Sports Clubs

Our after school Sports Clubs are open to all children in Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

The clubs allow children to develop their sporting skills in a supportive atmosphere where participation is emphasized over competition; the key objective is always enjoyment.

Choir

Our school choir meets to rehearse on a Thursday lunchtime. The aim of the choir is to simply enjoy singing together and is open to all children in Years 3,4,5 and 6. We perform in our school church services, a carol service at The Priory in Leominster and the Herefordshire Music Festival.

Cross Country Club

Our Cross Country Club meets together to train on the school grounds and around the local area. Children have entered many local events; they have a great time and really enjoy getting dirty!
