Event - Harvest Festival

22 October 2013

On Tuesday 22nd October family and friends joined with us to celebrate our Harvest Service. We brought along our harvest gifts which were collected and are then being donated to help support a local food bank.

Each class took part in performing poetry, stories, action rhymes, music and dance which helped us think about what harvest means to us all.

Collecting the apples.Class 4 entertained us with some fantastic African inspired drumming and dance.
Class 2 retold the story of The Little Red Hen.

There were some superb musical performances from the children on the piano, saxophone, trumpet, violin, flute and harp – Well done to you all.
Mr Wilson's talk helped us think about where our food comes from and saying thank you for all that we have.

Just some of the harvest gifts that we brought to share with others.
Soon it was time to walk back to school with our friends.
