Event - Sports Day and Fete

14 July 2017

On Friday 14th July St. Michael’s School and Parents’ Association held their annual Sports Day and Fete. It was a fantastic day that was enjoyed by many.

In the morning, the children competed in their houses (Wye, Arrow and Lugg) in a variety of sports to win points for their team. We held some tradional races such as relay and sprint but also included some new events such as the ‘the football dribble race’. This year’s winners were Arrow team.

At lunch time, parents and children enjoyed sharing a picnic lunch on the field whilst being entertained by ‘Quack Pack’. It was great fun watching Sam and Sian (the dogs) rounding up the ducks and herding them over obstacles.

The Parents’ Association then held the ‘Summer Fete’ in the afternoon. The Year 6 children all ran a stall each which proved to be very popular.

The day was a great success and we would like to thanks all those involved in organising the event.
