Event - Sports Day and Fete

6 July 2018

On Friday 6th July St. Michael’s School and Parents’ Association held their annual Sports Day and Fete. It was a fantastic sunny day that was enjoyed by many.

In the morning, the children competed in their houses (Wye, Arrow and Lugg) in a variety of sports to win points for their team. The children supported and cheered their teams and this year’s winners were Arrow team.

At lunch time, parents and children enjoyed sharing a picnic lunch on the field whilst being entertained by a dancing dinosaur and a host of exotic animals. The children enjoyed listening to lots of interesting facts about giant snapping turtles, scorpions and snakes.

The Parents’ Association then held the ‘Summer Fete’ in the afternoon. The Year 6 children all ran a stall each which proved to be very popular.

The day was a great success and we would like to thanks all those involved in organizing the event.
