Event - World Book Day

5 March 2015

To celebrate World Book Day this year all of the staff and children dressed up as a book character - there were some really inventive and creative ideas. We started the day with a whole school assembly giving everyone the opportunity to show their costume off and then enjoy listening to Mr Wilson performing some of his favourite poems.

Afterwards the younger children enjoyed listening to stories and sharing books with the older children in the school. Children from Year 6 and Year 2 also took the opportunity to share the stories they had written in English.

Class 3 wrote book reviews about their favourite book and Reception and Year 1's made masks of book characters.

A really enjoyable day was had by all.
