Parents' Association

Miss Donald was delighted to receive a cheque for £5,000 from the Parents’ Association which will be used to purchase 10 laptops and a charging unit in February 2018.

We have a very active Parents' Association, which arranges a variety of fundraising, social and educational events and activities throughout the year.

All parents/carers of children at St. Michael's are automatically members, and new committee members and helpers are always very welcome.

The Parents' Association enhances the school with many of the 'extras' that benefit our children enormously and which they might not otherwise have. Over the last few years, the work of the PA has provided IT equipment, playground equipment, new staging, the first phase of a new path on our school field and support with paying for transport for school trips, as well as gifts that help to mark special occasions throughout the academic year.

An Annual General Meeting is held each Autumn Term when the election of officers takes place. Although the financial assistance offered by the Association is extremely helpful (and most gratefully received!) these meetings and events also help to encourage an excellent relationship between staff and parents, as well as welcoming new parents into our community.
